Meta-analysis of Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction combined with western medicine for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Objective To evaluate the curative effect of Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction combined with conventional western medicine on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Methods The following databases were searched by computer:CNKI,VIP,CBM,Wanfang,PubMed,Cochrane Library,Embase,etc.The content of the review was the clinical randomized controlled trial of Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction combined with conventional western medicine in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,and the review time was from the establishment of the above database to July 2023.Cochrane risk bias was used by two reviewers to evaluate literature quality with High risk,Low risk and Unclear risk in terms of randomization,assignment concealment,blindness,outcome data,selection reports and other biases.Meta-analysis of the extracted data was performed using RevMan 5.3 software.Results A total of 27 randomized controlled studies were included,involving a total of 1 861 patients,of whom 934 were in the observation group and 927 were in the control group.Results of meta-analysis:curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine:Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction combined with conventional western medicine treatment was better than conventional western medicine treatment alone[OR=4.11,95%CI(2.85,5.91),Z= 7.61,P＜0.000 01].Pulmonary function:FEV1 was significantly improved[MD=0.19,95%CI(0.05,0.32),Z=2.68,P=0.007].FVC obviously improved[MD = 0.17,95%CI(0.09,0.25),Z = 4.19,P＜0.000 1];FEV1/FVC obviously improved[MD = 3.23,95%CI(1.66,4.80),Z = 4.03,P＜0.000 1];Blood gas analysis:PaO2 was significantly improved[MD= 5.79,95%CI(3.44,8.13),Z= 4.84,P＜0.000 01],PaCO2 significantly improved[MD =-3.85,95%CI(-6.09,-1.61),Z = 3.38,P =0.000 7].The plasma viscosity improved[MD =-0.33,95%CI(-0.52,-0.14),Z = 3.37,P = 0.000 8].No statistical differences of red blood cells deposited[MD =-0.04,95%CI(-0.13,0.04),Z = 1.00,P = 0.32].Fibrinogen significantly improved[MD =-0.77,95%CI(-0.95,-0.59),Z = 8.24,P＜0.000 01].The 6-minute walking test improved[MD = 33.04,95%CI(16.81,49.26),Z= 3.99,P＜0.000 1].Conclusion On the basis of traditional western medicine combined with Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,many outcome indexes can be significantly improved.
