Effect of metformin combined with GLP-1 receptor agonists in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy on inflammatory factors
Objective To explore the effect of metformin combined with GLP-1 receptor agonists in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy on inflammatory factors. Methods A total of 60 patients with diabetic nephropathy admitted to a hospital from June 2022 to February 2023 were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group using random number table method,30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with metformin, while the observation group was treated with metformin and GLP-1 receptor agonists. The clinical efficacy, index of renal function and inflammatory factor were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the effective rate of treatment was 93.33%in the observation group, compared with 73.33%in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).After treatment, compared to the control group, the levels of SCr,IL-6,BUN,CRP,TNF-α were significantly decreased in the observation group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of metformin and GLP-1 receptor agonists in patients with diabetic nephropathy can effectively improve the level of renal function, control the inflammatory response, improve treatment efficiency, delay the progression of kidney disease.
