Effects of desloratadine citrate disodium assisted endoscopic sinus surgery on serum levels of IL-6,TNF-α and IL-8 in patients with chronic sinusitis
Objective To investigate the effects of desloratadine citrate disodium assisted endoscopic sinus surgery on serum levels of IL-6,TNF-α and IL-8 in patients with chronic sinusitis.Methods 80 patients with chronic sinusitis who underwent endoscopic sinus surgery in a hospital from September 2020 to January 2023 were selected and divided into control group(n=40)and study group(n=40)according to random number method.The control group was treated with endoscopic sinus surgery,and the study group was treated with desloratadine citrate disodium assisted endoscopic sinus surgery.The levels of inflammatory factors,occurrence of adverse reactions and VAS scores of the two groups were compared to evaluate the clinical efficacy.Results The total clinical effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).There were no significant differences in the levels of IL-8,TNF-α and IL-6 between the two groups before treatment(P＞0.05).After treatment,the levels of IL-8,TNF-α and IL-6 in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference of VAS scores of runny nose,block,facial pain,headache and hyposmia in the two groups before treatment(P＞0.05).After treatment,VAS scores of runny nose,block,facial pain,headache and hyposmia in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).There were 2 cases of adverse reactions in the study group and 8 cases in the control group,the incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Deloratadine citrate disodium assisted endoscopic sinus surgery is effective in the treatment of patients with chronic sinusitis,which can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients,reduce the level of inflammatory factors,and has a high safety.
