Objective To statistically analyze the off-indication use of thalidomide in hospital and provide reference for doctors,pharmacists and patients to use thalidomide.Methods Outpatient prescriptions of thalidomide used in hospital from January 2022 to December 2022 were collected.The evidence intensity classification in Thomson grading system of Micromedex database was cited,and the database was queried with di-agnosis and thalidomide as keywords to determine the presence or absence of evidence-based medical evidence for off-indication use of thalidomide.Results The off-indication use of thalidomide involved diagnoses including multiple myeloma(MM),lymphoma,ankylosing spondylitis(AS),rheumatoid arthritis(RA),systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE),Behcet's disease,connective tissue disease,ulcerative colitis(UC),allergic purpura,dermatomyositis and eczema.There is no evidence to support thalidomide for herpes zoster.Conclusion There are evidences to support the off-indication use of thalidomide in outpatients,except herpes zoster.It is safe and effective for treatment.
