Effects of azithromycin combined with montelukast sodium tablets on symptoms, lung function and immune function in pediatric mycoplasma pneumonia
Objective To investigate the effect of azithromycin combined with montelukast sodium tablets on symptoms, lung function and immune function in pediatric mycoplasma pneumonia. Methods 98 children with mycoplasma pneumonia treated by a hospital from January 2021 to August 2023 were selected and randomly divided into two groups by lottery method. In the control group,49 patients were given azithromycin, and 49 patients in the observation group received montelukast sodium tablets on the basis of the control group.Symptom improvement time, lung function and immune function were compared between the two groups. Results The body temperature normalization time,X-ray shadow disappearance time, lung rales disappearance time and cough stop time in the observation group were shorter than that of the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in MMF,VCmax,PEF,MVV and FEV1%between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,MMF,VCmax,PEF,MVV and FEV1%were significantly increased in both groups, and higher in the observation group(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the levels of IgA,IgM and IgG between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of IgA,IgM and IgG in both groups were significantly increased, and the observation group was even higher(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of nausea, liver dysfunction, rash and abdominal discomfort between the two groups of children(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of azithromycin and montelukast sodium tablets can significantly improve the symptoms, lung function and immune function of pediatric mycoplasma pneumonia.
