Effect observation of Yuchang Zhixie Decoction combined with mesalazine in the treatment of ulcerative colitis
Objective To observe the clinical effect of ulcerative colitis treated with Yuchang Zhixie Decoction combined with mesalazine.Methods A randomized control method was used to include 45 patients with ulceration colitis in the Department of Gastroenterology and Department of traditional Chinese Medicine of Suzhou Hospital Affiliated to Anhui Medical University from January 2021 to January 2022,and they were divided into two groups by random grouping method,with 24 cases of the treatment group and 21 cases of the control group.The control group was treated with mesalazine,and the treatment group was treated with Yuchang Zhixie Decoction combined with mesalazine for 12 weeks.The disease degree change,TCM syndrome score,modified Mayo score,endoscopic intestinal mucosal lesion efficacy score before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the disease degree,TCM syndrome score,modified Mayo score and endoscopic intestinal mucosal lesion efficacy score of two groups were improved,and the indexes of treatment group were better than that of the control group(P＜0.05),and the differences were statistically significant.Conclusion Yuchang Zhixie Decoction combined with mesalazine can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with ulcerative colitis,reduce the activity of the disease,promote the healing of the intestinal mucosa,and improve the quality of life.
