Sanhuang Ointment mainly contains rhubarb,coptis chinensis and scutellaria baicalensis.It has the functions of clearing heat,reducing swelling and detoxifying.It has been widely spread in China and has a long history.This preparation has not been included in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia.The territorial classification and quality standard control points of this preparation are summarized in this paper,which can be used as reference for TCM workers.
