To compare the effects of different percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)strategies on the side branch of left anterior descending artery bifurcation lesions during angiographic follow-up
Objective To investigate the application value of drug-coated balloon combined with drug-eluting stent in interventional treatment of bifurcated anterior descending branch of coronary artery. Methods Thirty patients with anterior descending coronary artery bifurcation lesions admitted to the department of cardiology, the Third People's Hospital of Bengbu from September 2021 to June 2022 were randomly divided into drug-eluting stent(DES)group and drug-coated balloon(DCB)group. The DES group received conventional balloon dilatation for branch lesions and drug-eluting stent implantation, while the DCB group received drug-coated balloon dilatation for branch lesions and drug-eluting stent implantation for main branches in both groups. The changes of lumen diameter of branch vessels were compared between the two groups before operation, immediately and 6 months later. Results There was no significant difference in the basic clinical data between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the main branch and branch diameter between the two groups(P>0.05);There was no significant difference between the two groups in minimal lumen diameter(MLD)and late lumen loss(LLL)immediately after main branch surgery(P>0.05).There was a significant difference in MLD immediately after operation between the two groups(P<0.05);After 6 months there was no statistically significant difference of MLD between DCB and DES group(P>0.05),the LLL of DCB group is reduced compared to that of DES group, and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The immediate effect of DES group was better than that of DCB group, while the LLL of DCB group was lower than that of DES group 6 months after operation, indicating that DCB could better prevent late diameter loss.
