The current status and future prospects of pharmacoeconomic study on anti-infective drugs
Objective To determine the development status of pharmacoeconomics in anti-infection field in recent years.Methods Retrieved"infection","Pharmacoeconomic","infection"and"cost"from WanFang,CNKI database and Pubmed between 2013 and 2023.Study design,and program evaluation were analyzed.Results A total of 236 valid articles were retrieved,most of which were retrospective cohort studies.There were many drug comparison designs,and most of them were comparisons between different drugs.Among them,two drugs were compared most.Research on infection types encompasses various categories,with a primary focus on lower respiratory tract infections such as pulmonary infections and community-acquired pneumonia.The comparison among antibiotics primarily focused on the same category of medications,encompassing cephalosporins,fluoroquinolones,carbapenems,anti-anaerobes,etc.Conclusion It is imperative to consult the"CHINA GUIDELINES FOR PHARMACOECONOMIC EVALUATIONS(2020 edition)"in order to enhance the methodologies and content of pharmacoeconomic research,bolster the efficacy of research findings,reduce the cost of treating infectious diseases,and foster judicious clinical application of antibiotics.
