Clinical observation on modified Qingwen Baidu Decoction combined with oseltamivir in the treatment of children with influenza A with Vigorous Heat of Qi and Ying Type
Objective To explore the curative effect of modified Qingwen Baidu Decoction combined with oseltamivir on children with influenza A with Vigorous Heat of Qi and Ying Type.Methods Seventy-four children with influenza A admitted to the general paediatric ward of Yibin Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 24 February 2023 to 29 April 2023 were randomly selected for the study,and were divided into 37 cases each in group A(western medicine group)and group B(combined western and Chinese medicine group)according to the method of random number table.The children in group A were given oseltamivir treatment,and the children in group B were given modified Qingwen Baidu Decoction or minus plus combined with oseltamivir treatment.The duration of symptoms,clinical effects,TCM symptom scores,inflammatory factors and adverse reactions were observed.Results Compared with group A,the duration of tonsillar redness,nasal congestion and runny nose,fever and cough was significantly shorter in group B.The treatment efficiency was 70.27%in group A,and 94.59%in group B,which was significantly higher compared with that in group A(P＜0.05).After treatment,nasal congestion and runny nose,malignant cold,fever,cough,general malaise and headache scores were significantly lower in both groups,and compared with those in group A,the scores in group B were significantly reduced(P＜0.05).After treatment,CRP,IFN-γ/IL-4 and IFN-γlevels were significantly reduced in both groups,and compared with those in group A,the scores in group B were significantly reduced(P＜0.05).The incidence rate of adverse reactions was 24.32%in group A,and 5.41%in group B,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Modified Qingwen Baidu Decoction combined with oseltamivir can achieve satisfactory curative effect in treating children with influenza A syndrome with Vigorous Heat of Qi and Ying Type,obviously improve TCM symptoms,inhibit inflammatory factors,and have high safety.
