Evaluation the use and its reasonableness of intravenous immunoglobulin in the department of reproductive health and infertility in a maternal and child health hospital
Objective To analyze the rationality of intravenous immunoglobulin(IVIG)in inpatients of reproductive department.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed for 153 cases of IVIG in the department of reproductive health and infertility from January 2023 to December 2023.Excel was used to summarize and analyze the basic patient information,usage and dosage,clinical diagnosis and other data in the doctor's order.Refer to the instructions,relevant clinical guidelines at home and abroad,expert consensus,and literature to judge the rationality of the use.Results The 153 cases of IVIG were prescribed off-label medication,and the top three off-label indications were immune dysfunction,recurrent miscarriage,and antiphospholipid syndrome.After evidence-based medical evaluation,it was found that 151 cases of off-label medication were reasonable,and 2 cases were unreasonable,and the reasonable rate of medication was 98.7%.Conclusion The off-label use of IVIG in the department of reproductive health and infertility is widespread,and most of the indications are supported by evidence-based medical evidence,but there are also a few unreasonable phenomena.
