Objective To investigate whether the use of improved circulatory health education in patients undergoing abortion can improve their post-traumatic recovery and reproductive health outcomes. Methods A total of 144 patients with induced abortion admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital with Nanjing Medical University from February to December 2022 were selected as the study subjects, and they were divided into the study group(n=72)and the control group(n=72)by a numerical random method. The routine health education was performed in the control group, while the improved PDCA cycle health education on the basis of control group was performed in the study group. After intervention, the post-traumatic growth inventory(PTGI)scores, incidence of complications, postoperative recurrent miscarriage rate, and postoperative pregnancy success rate of patients were compared between two groups. The importance of improved circulatory health education method was analyzed. Results After intervention, the scores of four dimensions(new possibility, personal strength, mental change and appreciation of life)and total scores of PTGI scale elevated in the study group compared to the control group(P<0.05).The utilization rate of long-acting reversible contraceptive measures in the six months after operation increased(P<0.05),the rate of assisted reproductive consultation after operation increased(95.24%vs 72.73%,x2=7.990,P=0.005),while the rate of new infertility decreased(50.00%vs 84.38%,x2=9.268,P=0.002)in the study group compared to the control group. Conclusion The improved PDCA circulatory health education health education can effectively improve the awareness of reproductive health care, improve post-traumatic growth and reduce the incidence of infertility in patients with induced abortion.
