Objective To explore the effects of Chinese medicine rehabilitation nursing in treating knee osteoarthritis(KOA)patients with warm acupuncture and moxibustion. Methods A total of 130 patients with KOA admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine from June 2022 to September 2023 were selected as the study subjects, and were randomly divided into two groups of 65 cases each, the control group was treated with warm acupuncture and moxibustion, and the experimental group was given warm acupuncture and moxibustion treatment and Chinese medicine rehabilitation nursing. After 4 weeks of treatment, the improvement of the patients'Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)scores, knee function and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment and nursing intervention, the knee joint function scores and quality of life scores of patients in both groups increased(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the experimental group had higher knee joint function scores[(75.15±8.98)points vs(69.73±8.98)points,t=3.586,P<0.01]and overall quality of life scores[(572.33±32.94)points vs(539.89±28.34)points,t=6.019,P<0.0l].After treatment and nursing intervention, the VAS score was lower than that before treatment in both groups, and that in the experimental group was lower compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion On the basis of warm acupuncture and moxibustion combined with Chinese medicine rehabilitation nursing can play a synergistic role in the treatment of patients with KOA,which is helpful to relieve the patients'pain, improve knee joint function and quality of life, and improve the curative effect.
