Effects of Foliar Spraying of Boron Fertilizer on Agronomic Characters and Seed Yield of Oat
To explore the appropriate amount of boron fertilizer for oat seed production in boron deficient soil areas, the experiment used'Caoyan 1'oat as the material and sprayed different levels of boron fertilizer(B1 group:0.50 kg/hm2,B2 group:0.40 kg/hm2,B3 group:0.30 kg/hm2,CK group:0 kg/hm2)during the flowering period, and the change of growth, seed yield, and related traits in oat were systematically measured at each boron fertilizer level. The results showed that foliar spraying of boron fertilizer during the flowering period had no significant effect on the botanical characteristics of oats, but increased the spikelets number, grains per spike, grain weight per spike of oat, reduced the number of empty grain, improved the thousand grain weight and seed yield of oats.Spraying 0.40 kg/hm2 boron fertilizer during the flowering period had the best effect on promoting oat seed yield, reaching 4 152.72 kg/hm2,which was 21.97%higher than the CK group(P<0.05),and the thousand grain weight was 24.73%higher than the CK group(P<0.05).
