Implementing the President Xi Jinping's Instructions for Building Forest Cities and Promoting High-Quality Development of Urban Greening in China
The constructionof forest city is an important approach for promoting the restoration of urban ecosystems and improving the living environment in China.It is an ecological undertaking personally guided by general secretary Xi Jinping,which has achieved tremendous results.It is a path of urban ecological construction that has been proven through practice to be in line with China's national conditions and requires persistent efforts.Against the backdrop of China's transition to a modernization where humans and nature coexist harmoniously and the pursuit of a beautiful China,it is crucial to continue implementing general secretary Xi Jinping's directives on building forest city and maintaining the strategic determination to do so in order to promote the high-quality development of urban greening.This paper systematically reviews,from a historical perspective,the development evolution and substantive essence of general secretary Xi Jinping's guidance on forest city construction,including setting direction,clarifying ideas,promoting dissemination,and improving quality.Focusing on Beijing,we elaborate on the profound connotations and efforts direction based on the new requirements set by general secretary Xi Jinping for forest city construction in Beijing,such as scientific afforestation,continuity of nostalgia,aesthetic enhancement,and full coverage.Finally,ten suggestions were summarized and proposed for the continuous advancement of forest city construction nationwide.
