Research Progress in Carbon Sink Measurements for Urban Green Space
It is extremely urgent to sequestrate carbon and enhance carbon sink in the context of the intensification of global warming, the introduction of the"dual carbon"goals, and the increase in urban carbon emissions. As an important source of carbon sink, urban green spaces can effectively improve the urban environment, alleviate the pressure on carbon sequestration, enhance ecological efficiency, and maintain carbon-oxygen balance.Resultingly, the assessment of carbon sink benefits and estimation of carbon sink capacity are instrumental in realizing carbon visualization management and carbon neutrality. The paper reviews the rationales of 4 carbon sink measurement methods that are used in urban green space,i.e.,sample inventory method, software simulation method, remote sensing inversion method, and eddy correlation method, and summarizes and compares the scales of their application, advantages and disadvantages. At the end,the development trend of the carbon sink measurements for urban green spaces is discussed, focusing on the constant improvement of the measurement system and provision of guidance for planning and practices.
