Factors Influencing Traditional Village Accessibility in Liaoning Province and Their Spatial Heterogeneity
Transportation accessibility is important for the conservation and development of traditional villages. This paper takes 116 traditional villages in Liaoning Province as the research object and explores their spatial distribution, the factors influencing accessibility and their spatial heterogeneity using nuclear density analysis, geographical detector, and multi-scale geographical weighted regression model. The findings indicate:1)The spatial distribution of traditional villages in Liaoning Province is characterized with two zones and four cores;2)The accessible spaces decrease from the center area to the surrounding areas;3)The factors influencing accessibility could be ranked in intensity as elevation>road network density>GDP>tourism resources>annual average temperature>urban development intensity>slope>annual average precipitation, and the superposition of various influencing factors has a far greater effect than a single factor;and 4)In relatively less developed and remote mountainous areas, natural environment is the primary factor affecting the accessibility of traditional villages;but in plain areas with superior natural conditions, the accessibility of traditional villages is mainly affected by social factors. The spatial heterogeneity of the factors influencing accessibility have an effect on the differentiated pathways to the conservation and revitalization of traditional villages.
