Construction of Composite Scenic Byways Network in Western Liaoning Based on System Coupling
Scenic byways are special linear tourism attractions with multiple functions.Exploring its diversified and compound development is of great significance to solve the fragmentation of resources, promote the integration of transportation and tourism and realize the high-quality regional development of tourism. This paper takes the Liaoxi Corridor as an example to quantitatively evaluates regional resources and environment through multivariate evaluation using morphological spatial pattern analysis, suitability analysis, landscape pattern index analysis, and coldspots and hotspots analysis based on multi-objective orientation,multi-source data and digital planning methods, and constructs regional composite scenic byways with system coupling and circuit theory. The results show:1)A total of 51 composite nodes are selected in the Liaoxi region, including 9 primary nodes,12 secondary nodes and 30 tertiary nodes;2)137 composite scenic byways are identified from pluralistic evaluation, which is composed of 36 first-class scenic byways,28 second-class scenic byways and 73 third-class scenic byways classified in accordance with the results of gravity model;and 3)Through the functional integration of ecology, recreation, transportation, and culture as well as spatial zoning, the network of"three rings and eight belts"in Western Liaoning is determined based on national roads G101 and G102.
