Integration and Innovation of Public Space Landscape Design in Old Town Based on the Concept of"Urban Acupuncture":A Case Study of Mys?owice,Poland
As an important space with urban historical and cultural characteristics,old town is under multiple contradictions and challenges such as space fragmentation,chaos of traffic space,low utilization rate of activity space,and lack of cultural space.The transformation pattern of"urban acupuncture"can retain the traditional structure and urban characteristics of old towns in a more flexible and targeted way,and achieve revitalization and vitality of public space in old towns.Based on the concept of"urban acupuncture",the paper selects the old town of Mysłowice in Poland,to carry out the research on landscape design and practices.The activation strategy of"acupuncture and moxibustion acupoint"is proposed,composed of functional remodeling,cultural regeneration and ecological recovery,which is to activate its surrounding environment through the transmission of meridians to ultimately activate the overall vitality of the old town.This study would provide references and inspirations for the renewal design of public space landscape in old towns along the Belt and Road.
