Age-oriented Environmental Needs in Community Parks Based on the Kano Model
As an important place for the elderly, the community park has been widely concerned and studied by a number of scholars. From the perspective of elderly users, three community parks in Kunming City are selected as the research object.Literature review, field research and questionnaire survey are adopted to extract the elements impacting the environmental demand of the elderly for community parks, and the Kano model and the"Better-Worse"data statistics are used to evaluate the types of demand and the importance of these elements,in order to provide a basis for the creation of age-oriented environments in community parks. The results show that:1)among the 30 demand indicators,11 are indicators with necessary attributes,3 are with expectation attributes,14 are with attractiveness attributes, and 2 are with indifference attributes;and 2)the importance of the index ranks as necessary demand(C2>D2>D4>E5>C3>D3>E7>D1>E6>C1>C4)>expected demand(F6>C9>E4)>attractiveness demand(B1>B2>E2>C7>B4>E3>B3>F2>F3>C6>F4>E1>C8>F1)>undifferentiated demand(C5>F5).Therefore,in the creation of age-oriented landscapes in community parks,it is recommended that a hierarchical strategy could be deployed according to the importance of the indicators, while the priority should be given to meeting the necessary demands, followed by elevating expected demands and attractiveness demands, and undifferentiated demands have no need to be first offered.
