Clinical and Imaging Analysis of Brain Tumor and Epilepsy
Objective Attempted to explain the correlation between brain tumor and secondary epilepsy by analyzing the clinical and imaging features of brain tumor. Methods 34 patients with brain tumor complicated with epilepsy in our hospital were selected as the observation group, and other 34 patients with brain tumors without epileptic symptoms were randomly selected as a control group. The differences in age, gender, tumor type, tumor location and imaging characteristics between the two groups were analyzed, and the correlation between the two groups was analyzed. Results There were no significant differences in age, gender or tumor histological type between the two groups. There was statistical difference in tumor distribution between the two groups, which epilepsy was more common in the frontal lobe tumor group(P=0.078).There were statistically significant differences in tumor imaging characteristics between the two groups in the local brain atrophy group(P=0.032).Conclusion Brain tumors were associated with epilepsy, and imaging diagnosis can effectively reduce the secondary damage and potential harm caused by epilepsy.
