Progress in the Application of Diffusion MR Imaging Technology in the Diagnosis of Prostate Cancer
The incidence rate of prostate cancer(PCa)ranks the second in the world among male malignant tumors, and the mortality rate ranks the fifth, posing a great threat to the health of elderly men.Multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging, combined with morphological and functional information, plays a crucial role in the diagnosis of PCa.Among different imaging technologies,diffusion-weighted imaging can provide water molecule diffusion information at the living cell level, showing high accuracy in the detection of PCa.The derived apparent diffusion coefficient is highly correlated with tumor invasion, significantly improving the sensitivity and specificity of prostate cancer diagnosis. At the same time, the development of new technologies based on diffusion principles has enabled MR to play a greater role in PCa diagnosis and invasive assessment.
