Clinical Application and Progress of Dual-energy CT in Acute Ischemic Stroke
Acute ischemic stroke(AIS),characterized by high incidence rate, high disability rate and high mortality,is a major disease that seriously threatens the health of our population and hinders social and economic development.One-stop CT examination, including conventional CT plain scan(NCCT),CT perfusion(CTP),and CT angiography(CTA),is currently the frontline imaging examination method for AIS.However, the above-mentioned examination techniques still have shortcomings in the diagnosis and prognosis prediction of AIS.In recent years, the development of dual-energy CT has provided more advantages for the diagnosis, treatment decision selection, and prognosis judgment of AIS.This article will review the principles and commonly used techniques of dual-energy CT imaging,as well as its specific clinical applications and research progress in AIS clinical practice.
