Diagnostic Value of FLAIR Hyperintense Vessel Sign in Intracranial Venous Sinus Thrombosis
Objective To explore the diagnostic value of FLAIR Hyperintense Vascular Signs(FHVs)in intracranial venous sinus thrombosis. Methods Retrospective collection of 8 patients diagnosed with intracranial venous sinus thrombosis in the neurology department of Fuyang Hospital of Anhui Medical University from January 2018 to August 2023 as the study group.38 headache patients hospitalized during the same period were selected as the control group. All patients underwent cranial MRI+MRV examination.Compare the incidence of venous sinus FHVs between two groups of patients. The distribution range of venous sinus FHVs in the research group and their consistency with cranial MRV.Results The incidence of venous sinus FHVs in the study group(27.50%)was significantly higher than that in the control group(4.74%,P<0.05).In patients with venous sinus thrombosis, venous sinus FHVs are mainly distributed in the transverse and sigmoid sinuses, with a higher consistency(Kappa=0.881,P=0.001)compared to cranial MRV.The sensitivity of FHVs is 84.61%,and the specificity is 100%.Conclusion The FHVs of intracranial venous sinuses can serve as imaging markers for venous sinus thrombosis and play an important role in the diagnosis of intracranial venous sinus thrombosis.
