Digital education is gradually becoming an important breakthrough for the high-quality development of education.However,the understanding of the concept and the orientation of the development of digital education have not yet been fully discussed and agreed upon in the academic and practical fields.From an international perspective,we analysed 40 digital education policy texts around the world to provide an in-depth interpretation of the connotation and value of digital education.The study found that the current world digital education policy focused on six strategic priorities:inclusion,equity,and quality in education,planning of new infrastructure for digital education,digital literacy and higher-order thinking,innovation of digital teaching methods,human-centred personalised evaluation,and efficient linkage and interoperability between schools,enterprises,and society.At the same time,countries have put forward trends for future policy planning in the light of emerging technologies that have the potential for wide application globally,supporting the construction of a smarter digital education environment.
