Non-intrusive Evaluation for Teacher Development:Connotation Elucidation,Value Assessment,and Practical Approaches
Teacher evaluation reform is a crucial factor in promoting innovation and sustainable development in the educational field. In recent years, the internationally recognized concept of"non-intrusive evaluation"has provided new value orientations and practical guidance for teacher development evaluation. However, the question of"how to achieve non-intrusive evaluation aimed at teacher development"remains unanswered. This study systematically reviews the origin and value orientation of the concept of non-intrusive evaluation, elucidates and assesses its connotation concerning teacher development, and constructs a case study framework based on these insights.By analyzing multiple typical cases of teacher development evaluation, the study finds that current teacher development evaluations are gradually converging with the concept of non-intrusive evaluation, presenting some innovative orientations and practical challenges,including:(1)striving for technologically empowered, imperceptible data collection and analysis, though the precision of assessments needs improvement;(2)aiming for non-attenuated online representation of authentic teaching behaviors, yet lacking applicability in practical scenarios;(3)seeking to establish mappable, strongly correlated objective evaluation indicators, but the selection of correlation points remains challenging.Consequently, the study distills key processes for implementing non-intrusive evaluations aimed at teacher development, including the four core elements of"unified concepts, clear standards, mapping establishment, and norm formulation,"to provide theoretical references and practical guidance for teacher evaluation reform in the new era.
