Review on the New Energy Accommodation Capability Evaluation Methods Considering Multi-dimensional Factors
The contradiction between security and efficient consumption of large-scale new energy is a key issue that needs to be solved in the new power system.Since the level of new energy penetration is an important boundary that restricts the regulation capability and anti-disturbance performance of the new power system,it is of great significance to accurately evaluate the maximum accommodation capability of new energy for the planning, operation, and control of power systems. This paper comprehensively reviews the research status and development trends of new energy accommodation capability evaluation methods both domestically and internationally.First, the basic concept and evaluation indices of new energy accommodation capability are interpreted.Based on the characteristics of new energy output and the evolution trend of"source-grid-load"in the power system, the key factors that restrict new energy accommodation are elaborated in depth. In order to cope with the common problems and challenges faced by the new power system during the high proportion of new energy penetration, the overall research framework of the new energy accommodation capability evaluation method is proposed. The current research status of the new energy accommodation capability evaluation methods is reviewed from the perspectives of power balance, security and stability constraints,as well as power quality. Finally, some potential research directions in this field in the future are prospected.
