System Theory Study on Situation Awareness of Energy Internet of Things Based on Digital Twins and Metaverse(I):Concept,Challenge,and Framework
Situation awareness(SA)is of critical importance to decision-making in energy internet of thing(EIoT).However,daily growth of complexity and uncertainty in EIoT,which may be caused by increasing size,diversity,initiative,and coupling of its members,together with the variable environment,challenges the SA task.Some complexity-derived problems go beyond classical reductionism.Therefore,a systematic means of cognition is urgently needed.Our work,tying together data,data science,real systems with domain-special applications,provides a digital twin of EIoT(EIoT-DT)enabling a novel data-driven SA paradigm,which is called DT-SA.DT-SA addresses various connected virtual entities(VEs)in the digital space,with an emphasis on their modeling,analysis,and recognition.Besides,we study metaverse to enhance the connection among VEs,as well as their corresponding scientific issues.This research has a leading effect in the field of both energy system and data science,and may be of benefit to enterprise digitization,digital city,etc.
