Review of Flow and Heat Transfer in Rotor-stator Disk Cavity of Gas Turbine
The flow and heat transfer characteristics within the rotor-stator disk cavity,as an important part of the secondary air system of a gas turbine, are of great significance for the safe and stable operational performance of the whole machine.Since the requirements of turbine cooling increases with an increasing in the inlet temperature of the gas turbine, the study on flow and heat transfer characteristics of turbine cavity has drawn more and more attention from designers and researchers. The researchers have carried out experimental measurements and numerical simulations to study flow and heat transfer in the rotor-stator disk cavity, forming a relatively mature research system. The research progress on flow, heat transfer and cooling in gas turbine rotor-stator disk cavity in recent years is summarized. And the flow pattern of the three different types of disc cavities is introduced, the effect of central inlet and pre-swirl rotor-stator disk cavity and the rim seal on flow and heat transfer characteristics in the disc cavity are analyzed and presented, together with the status of the relevant experimental and numerical studies. Finally, based on the current research hotspots and development trends, the future research direction of rotor-stator disk cavity is summarized and prospected.
