Comprehensive Benefit Analytical Evaluation of Gird-connected Concentrating Solar Power
In the context of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality target, the large-scale renewable energy is integrated into the power system,so that strong uncertainty and low inertia will be the key features of the new-type power system.Compared with wind power and photovoltaic, concentrating solar power(CSP),a clean power generation technology with flexible regulation capability and inertia support,is both equipped with the synchronous unit and cost-effective large-capacity thermal energy storage, and can put the power system on more solid footing.Currently, the technical cost of CSP is relatively high, and the flexible benefit and inertial benefit need to be comprehensively evaluated. In this paper, the comprehensive benefit of CSP in high renewable energy penetrated power systems is comprehensively evaluated from four aspects:energy benefits, flexibility benefits, inertia benefits and emission benefits, and the corresponding analytical quantitative evaluation model and method are proposed. The results show that compared with the single consideration of the energy benefits, the comprehensive benefit of the CSP is increased by 41.27%.
