In order to investigate the level of"knowledge, attitude and practice(KAP)"about brucellosis in cattle and sheep farms/households in Liaoning Province, and to provide scientific basis for amending and improving comprehensive strategies for animal brucellosis prevention and control, the farms/households were sampled and investigated based on cross-sectional study on questionnaires, the data were typed into"Questionnaire Star"APP and analyzed using SPSS to find out the influencing factors for KAP.The results showed that the average awareness rate of brucellosis was 75.44%,the rate of positive attitude towards brucellosis prevention and control was 51.31%,and the positive rate of personal protective behaviors was relatively high, but was lower in the breeding process;single factor logistic regression analysis revealed that farmers'level of KAP was related to their age, years of farming experience and purchasing methods(P<0.05);the main ways farmers gained knowledge about the disease were through veterinarians, propaganda materials and mobile phones. In conclusion, the knowledge about clinical symptoms of infected animals, transmission routes and epidemic characteristics should be well popularized to effectively control brucellosis from its source using rich propaganda media and means.
