Analysis on the Effects of Comprehensive Control of Animal Echinococcosis in Zhangye City,Gansu Province from 2017 to 2021
In order to investigate the prevalence and control effects of echinococcosis in Zhangye City from 2017 to 2021,Echinococcus cysts in cattle and sheep organs,antibodies against Echinococcus in sheep,antigens of Echinococcus in canine feces,immune antibodies in sheep and dog desinsectization as well as publicity and training were statistically analyzed.The results showed that the average detection rate of Echinococcus cysts in cattle and sheep organs was 2.24%(898/40 002),specifically,the positive rate in cattle was 1.63%(77/4 727),and that in sheep was 2.33%(821/35 275);the average positive rate of antibodies against Echinococcus in sheep was 3.39%(172/5 079),that of antigens in canine feces was 0.24%(7/2 872),and that of immune antibodies in sheep was 90.42%(2 767/3 060);the average registration rate of captive dogs was 76.33%(356 700/467 300),and the average desinsectization rate of registered dogs was 94.15%(335 823/356 700);a total of 504 training classes with different topics had been organized,involving 108 700 local animal health workers,farmers and herdsmen,and 333 900 pieces of promotional materials were handed out.In conclusion,good achievements were received by the efforts of echinococcosis control in Zhangye,although Echinococcus infection was found in cattle and sheep to certain extent.It was thus recommended to comprehensively prevent the disease through"desinsectization + immunization",the dual source control measures,and to regularly monitor dog fecal antigens and sheep serum antibodies to evaluate the effect of the measures.
