Discussion on the Bio-safety Management of Animal Pathogenic Microbiology Laboratories in Changsha City,Hunan Province
In order to investigate the bio-safety status in animal pathogenic microbiology laboratories at the grassroots level in Changsha City,and to improve the bio-safety management,special examinations for these laboratories had been conducted for four consecutive years since 2019 to investigate their infrastructures,staffing,test operations,disposal of wastes,etc.,such shortcomings as non-standard construction,lack of management,incomplete systems and insufficient capabilities of staff were found.The bio-safety level of these laboratories was generally improved through supervision and rectification,intensifying of training and publicity as well as emergency exercises.It was recommended to strengthen the responsibility for production safety,improve the facilities and devices for experiments and build professional teams,so as to further ensure the bio-safety level and accurate tests of the laboratories.
