Serological Monitoring and Analysis on Sheep Brucellosis in Zhejiang Province from 2018 to 2022
In order to investigate the prevalence status of sheep brucellosis in Zhejiang Province,a total of 375 433 serological samples were collected from 6 810 premises from 2018 to 2022 for rose bengal plate agglutination test(RBT)and standard-tube agglutination test(SAT).The results showed that the population positive rates were 0.16%,0.41%,0.29%,0.13%and 0.07%,respectively from 2018 to 2022,and the individual ones were 0.090%,0.080%,0.280%,0.010%and 0.004%,respectively.The individual positive rates were 0,0.09%,0.01%and 0.19%,respectively in sheep breeding farms, commercial farms,free-range households and premises for sheep circulation, and 0.29%,0.16%,0.10%,0.03%and 0.02%,respectively in Wenzhou,Huzhou,Quzhou,Jinhua and Jiaxing cities. In conclusion, the measures for brucellosis prevention and control were effective in the past five years, with decreasing positive rate in general, but the regions with large amount of sheep production or frequent trade were not promising, especially the premises for sheep circulation. It was recommended to further implement such measures as testing,stamping-out,construction of free zones and purification farms, develop advanced technical tools to effectively fight against illegal transportation,so as to further reduce the prevalence of sheep brucellosis, and safeguard the safety of livestock production and public health.
