Literature-based Comparison of Slaughtering Enterprises'Capacity for African Swine Fever Detection
In order to evaluate pig slaughtering enterprises'capacity for detection of African swine fever(ASF),on the basis of relevant literature registered in China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)from 2019 to 2023,data were extracted by Excel software and preliminarily processed, and analyzed by Stata software to describe the compliance rates of both the enterprises and samples as well as 95%confidence interval using forest plots and to analyze enterprises'detection capacity. The results showed that 10 appropriate articles were selected, involving 944 slaughtering enterprises distributed in 9 provinces;the compliance rates of the enterprises and samples were 68.9%(95%CI:65.8%-71.8%)and 90.1%(95%CI:89.3%-91.0%),respectively;both of which tended to decrease in the year of 2021 compared to those in the previous two years, and those at municipal/district/county level were lower than those at provincial level. In conclusion, pig slaughtering enterprises'capacity for ASF detection was low in general.Relevant authorities should strengthen their supervision over pig slaughtering enterprises for their implementation of the"two systems",that was,self-inspection for ASF by slaughtering enterprises and on-site quarantine by official veterinarians, and urge them to upgrade standardized construction of laboratories and improve their testing capacity,so as to effectively cut off any reverse transmission of the virus and safeguard safe production of the industry.
