Research Progress in the Detection Methods for Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus
As bovine viral diarrhea virus(BVDV)has posed a great economic impact on cattle industry, rapid and accurate detection is crucial for rapid implementation of specific preventive measures upon early detection of BVDV infection in cattle.Common detection methods for BVDV includes virus isolation and identification, serum neutralization test,enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR),loop mediated isothermal amplification(LAMP),etc. In the study, researches on the above methods were reviewed from the aspects of etiology, serology and molecular biology, the advantages and disadvantages of each method were analyzed to propose to select appropriate methods or comprehensively apply multiple technologies according to different needs in practice, with a view to providing a reference for development and application of a more rapid, practical and accurate method for detecting BVDV.
