Research Progress on Recombinant Live Vector Vaccines of Herpesvirus of Turkey
Herpesvirus of turkey(HVT),with the advantages of large genome, multiple nonessential replication regions, strong capacity to accommodate exogenous genes, good safety, long immune duration, mature gene manipulation technologies, etc.,has become a hot topic in live vector vaccine researches.Infectious clones of HVT were successfully constructed using homologous recombination, bacterial artificial chromosomes,Fosmid,CRISPR or other technologies, and transfected into susceptible cells to rescue the recombinant virus. In order to make the recombinant virus to efficiently express exogenous protein, suitable insertion site, promoter and termination sequence were usually selected, and the exogenous gene sequence was optimized.Recombinant vaccines taking HVT as vectors were used with wide prospects in the prevention and control of avian influenza,Newcastle disease, infectious bursal disease, infectious laryngotracheitis,Chlamydia psittaci infection,Eimeria coccidiosis infection, duck cholera and other diseases. Here, the history, construction method and application practice of live vector vaccines of HVT were reviewed, aiming to provide a theoretical and practical guidance for relevant researches.
