Cross-sectional Investigation on Canine Leptospira Infection and Risk Factors in Pudong New Area of Shanghai City in 2023
In order to investigate the status of canine Leptospira infection in Pudong New Area of Shanghai City in 2023,and to analyze the responsible risk factors, canine serum samples randomly collected in 2023 were detected by ELISA kits, and a risk model of canine infection with Leptospira was established through univariate analysis and multivariate Logistic regression analysis. The results showed that the total infection rate of canine Leptospira reached 9.46%(95%CI:6.37%-10.07%);the univariate analysis revealed that the infection was associated with dogs without vaccination against Leptospira, poor awareness of dog owners about the disease, dogs aged above one year old, feeding without commercial dog food and other factors;and the regression analysis revealed that dogs without vaccination was a risk factor for Leptospira infection(P<0.05).Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test showed that the Chi-square value of the regression model was 2.550,P>0.05,and the area under ROC curve was 0.79,indicating a good predictive value. The general data was provided by the investigation for vaccination, monitoring, prevention and control towards canine leptospirosis in Pudong New Area.
