Investigation on the Construction and Operation of Grassroots Animal Disease Testing Laboratories in Beijing City
In order to identify the development status of grassroots animal disease testing laboratories in Beijing,the size,capacity construction and operation management of grassroots laboratories in the animal disease prevention and control system,third-party laboratories,and self-testing laboratories of enterprises in the reform into the animal disease prevention and control system were investigated in 2023 through a combination of on-site investigation,interview and questionnaires.The results showed that there were gaps in the 3 types of laboratories in terms of business volume,staffing,management system construction and laboratory qualification,and instruments and equipment(facilities)were commonly aged.It was recommended to advance supporting policies for expanding business,optimize the construction of professional teams in all laboratories,increase the investment in the infrastructure of grassroots veterinary laboratories,strengthen the construction of laboratory biosafety management system,and enhance the industry certification of veterinary laboratories,with a view to technically supporting the construction of grassroots animal disease testing laboratories in Beijing.
