On the Linguocultural Study of the Concept of Mentality
Mentality is"psycho-linguo-intellectuals",is also a totality of the nation's mindset and ways of seeing the world.It is not only a product of a long accumulation of national culture,but also determines the patterns of thinking and behavior of"Homo Loquens",so that it should become one of the most important and necessary areas of linguocultural research.This article attempts to examine the conceptual content of mentality,its main features,the ways of expression and methods of research from a linguocultural perspective,and to offer preliminary plan for the application of the theory of language personality to the study of mentality in order to create its general theoretical framework.
