Abstract
Crime and Punishment is one of most influential works of Dostoevsky in the literary world.Slavic scholars in China and abroad have conducted extensive and in-depth research on the work, starting from the issues of religious thought, the image of the underground man,and the psychology of crime, etc.Until today, there are still many hidden corners of the novel waiting to be elucidated.Closely related to the work is Dostoevsky's proposition that"man is a secret",which is related to man's ethical choice. The ethical dilemmas of the characters and the motivation of their ethical choices are the focus of this paper. From the critical point of view of literary ethics, this paper is going to analyze the qualities of the ethical choices of Raskolnikov,Sonia and Svidrigailov, and use them as a starting point to analyze the ethical elements of the criminal mind, the brain text, the aesthetics of suffering, and so on.
