The Acquisition Order and the Acquisition Trajectory of Russian Noun Cases among Chinese Learners:An Empirical Study
The current study examined the acquisition order and the acquisition trajectory of Russian noun cases among low-level,medium-level,and high-level Chinese learners using error analysis. Results showed:(1)The acquisition order of L2 Russian noun cases changed with the improvement of Russian proficiency, indicating that the acquisition system of Russian noun cases was dynamic;(2)In the early stages of L2 Russian learning, the acquisition order of Russian noun cases was consistent among learners with different first languages, validating the development of case awareness in the natural order hypothesis, which also indicated that the acquisition order of Russian noun cases in early L2 Russian learning was hardly influenced by learners'native languages;(3)The current study demonstrated the acquisition trajectories of six noun cases, where the number of most error types decreased with increasing Russian proficiency, while the confusion of the name of the accusative case increased with the formation of language intuition.
