Housing safety concerns the safety of people's lives and properties.As a country greatly affected by natural disasters,Japan has revised the Building Standards Act and established a regular survey and reporting system for specific buildings to strengthen safety management for specific buildings.This article systematically analyzes the legal basis of the regular investigation report system for specific buildings in Japan,including the prescribed investigation content,investigation responsibility subjects and implementation mechanisms,investigation relief,investigation period and costs,as well as punishment measures for failure to fulfill investigation obligations,in order to provide reference for the establishment of a housing physical examination system in China.
