Investigation and analysis on the current situation of capacity construction of nosocomial infection prevention and control in maternal and child health care institutions under the new situation
Objective To understand the current situation of prevention and control of nosocomial infection in maternal and health child care institutions in Sichuan Province,and provide a basis for strengthening nosocomial infection management.Methods The nosocomial in-fection prevention and control experts of maternal and child health care institutions in Sichuan Province developed a unified questionnaire.The survey was conducted through Questionnaire Star.The survey results were compared with the results of previous survey(2020).Re-sults A total of 200 maternal and child health care institutions were surveyed.Compared to 2020,in 2023,the composition ratio(79.89%vs.61.01%)of full-time heads of hospital infection management department increased by 18.88%.The composition ratio(93.26%vs.79.74%)of the chairman of the hospital infection management committee,who was appointed by the dean,increased by 13.52%.The com-position ratio(17.28%vs.6.92%)of daily supervision of hospital infection prevention and control conducted once a day on weekdays in-creased by 10.36%.The composition ratio(81.68%vs.63.52%)of quality control assessment results included in department performance appraisal increased by 18.16%.The composition ratio(23.35%vs.0.00%)of weekly supervision on the implementation of cleaning,dis-infection,and isolation work system increased by 23.35%(P<0.05)Conclusion Maternal and child health care institutions in Sichuan Province have achieved remarkable results in building capacity in nosocomial infection organization management,internal management sys-tem,and system construction.However,there are still shortcomings such as inadequate training and uneven construction of nosocomial infec-tion management informatization.It is necessary to continue to strengthen investment in personnel training and information construction,and continuously improve the level of nosocomial infection prevention and control in maternal and child health care institutions,so as to reduce the occurrence of nosocomial infection-related incidents.
