Advances in Transcription Factor FOXO3 in Myocardial Ischemia Reperfusion Injury
Myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury(MIRI)as an important clinical problem still has limited clinical prevention and treatment. The transcription factor forkhead box protein O3(FOXO3)can protect cardiac tissues through anti-oxidative stress, inhibition of apoptosis and mitochondrial autophagy, and plays an important role in the treatment of MIRI.In this paper,we review the structure, regulatory mechanism, and related drug applications of FOXO3,aiming to provide a theoretical basis for the therapeutic application of FOXO3 molecules in myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury.
