Application of Flipped Classroom Teaching Method Based on SPOC in the Teaching of Nerve Block for Anesthesiology Residents
Objective:To explore the application effect of the flipped classroom teaching method based on SPOC in the teaching of nerve block for anesthesiology residents.Methods:Thirty-eight residents undergoing standardized training in anesthesiology from January 2021 to March 2021 were randomly divided into an experimental group(n=19)and a control group(n=19).The experimental group used the flipped classroom teaching method based on SPOC,while the control group used traditional teaching methods. Results:The theoretical examination scores of the experimental group were significantly better than those of the control group(P<0.05).In the real model operation section, the experimental group completed the scanning in a significantly shorter time and showed significantly improved peripheral anatomical structure recognition compared to the control group(P<0.05).For brachial plexus nerve block operations, the operation scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).However,there were no statistically significant differences in block effectiveness,drug-assisted rates, and complication rates between the two groups(P>0.05).The questionnaire survey showed that this teaching method was widely accepted by the experimental group students. Conclusion:In the teaching of nerve block for anesthesiology residents undergoing standardized training, the application of the flipped classroom teaching method based on SPOC has achieved good teaching results.
