Objective:To explore the application of PBL teaching methods in the integrated course of musculoskeletal system injuries and diseases. Methods:A total of 108 fourth-year undergraduate interns in clinical medicine at our teaching hospital from September 2019 to July 2020 were selected. They were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, each with 54 students. The experimental group used PBL teaching methods, while the control group used traditional teaching methods. The scores of clinical skill assessments, theoretical assessments, and teaching satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:The scores of clinical skill assessments, theoretical assessments, and teaching satisfaction in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with traditional teaching methods, the use of PBL teaching methods in the integrated course of musculoskeletal system injuries and diseases can effectively improve the interns'clinical skill assessment scores, theoretical assessment scores, and teaching satisfaction, contributing to the cultivation of humanistic care ability and empathy.
