Comparison of Online Team-Based Learning(TBL)and Traditional Teaching Methods in Theoretical Teaching of Dental Restoration
Objective:To study the effectiveness of team-based learning(TBL)as the basis for online teaching.Methods:Using undergraduate dental students from Zhejiang University in the 2015 and 2016 cohorts as the observation subjects,traditional teaching and online TBL were respectively adopted for theoretical learning of Dental Restoration Ⅱ,and the teaching effects of the two methods were compared.Conclusion:There was no significant difference in final scores between the traditional teaching control group(n=58)and the online TBL experimental group(n=50)(P=0.73).However,the formative evaluation survey questionnaire of the experimental group showed a high level of student enthusiasm and satisfaction with learning(average satisfaction score of 9.6).Conclusion:Online TBL teaching is beneficial for enhancing students'overall quality.
