The Influence of Clinical Internship Environment and Sources of Stress on Professional Identity among Nursing Interns
Objective:To investigate the impact of clinical internship environment and sources of stress on the professional identity of nursing interns.Methods:A questionnaire survey was conducted among 385 nursing interns from two tertiary hospitals in Wuhan.Results:Nursing interns were generally satisfied with the clinical internship environment,with the primary source of stress being employment-related.The level of professional identity was moderate.There was a positive correlation between the clinical internship environment and professional identity(r=0.209),while there was a negative correlation between sources of internship stress and professional identity(r=-0.377).Conclusion:Improving the clinical internship environment and reducing internship stress can enhance the professional identity of nursing interns.
