Survey and Analysis of Cognition and Demand for Nursing Research among Vocational Nursing Students
Purpose:To investigate the cognition and demand for nursing research among vocational nursing students,providing basis for nursing research education in vocational colleges.Methods:Convenience sampling was used to survey 506 nursing students from a vocational college,covering general information,cognition of nursing research,willingness to participate in research,demand for nursing research,and main obstacles to participating in research.Results:83.00%of nursing students agree on the importance of nursing research for clinical work;74.51%believe it is necessary for vocational students to understand nursing research;there is a high demand for research-related knowledge such as topic selection,research design,and statistics.The biggest obstacle for nursing students to participate in research is lack of research knowledge,followed by lack of specialized guidance and difficulty in collecting data.Conclusion:Vocational nursing students have a high level of cognition about nursing research and a high demand for nursing research knowledge,but they have low interest in research and face many obstacles to participating in research.Schools and teachers need to take joint measures to increase students'interest in research and encourage their active participation in nursing research.
